"Buffalo Teachings" was designed by Jordan Stranger (Totem Doodem), Anishinaabe artist and graphic designer, originally from Peguis First Nation. Using his life experiences and spiritual practice learned through Ojibwe teachings to drive his artistic passions, his design, “Buffalo Teachings,” carries positive life lessons.

UM’s Office of the Vice-President (Indigenous) partnered with the Strategic Marketing and Communications unit to commission and champion three new bison designs by Peatr Thomas, Jordan Stranger and Shaun Vincent, expanding UM’s iconic bison herd.

Five dollars ($5) from each sale goes to the Indigenous Student Success Fund to support Indigenous student programming.
